Often children struggle to comprehend and make sense of their feelings and reactions after family break-up. Talking to children about parental separation and divorce can be difficult for some adults and is sometimes overlooked or avoided. With careful listening, discussion and sharing between a trusted adult and a child, the words and symbolic illustrations of It's Just Different Now enable children to form their own words and images, summoning their unique story from within. 

 

Since its publication over a decade ago It's Just Different Now, aimed for children aged 3-7, has provided a valuable resource for many adults - be they parents, carers, grandparents or teachers - in their support of children who are grieving.
